Old Yeller

Glasses: Tom Ford, Sweater: Lands End, Shirt: H&M, Jeans: Gap, Boots: The North Face, Coat: J. Crew

The snow is melting, y'all. It officially looks like winter--drab and gross. I took these really quickly today before it got dark, and if it looks like I threw on clothes, I did. Most definitely.

I think one of the biggest problems people face in the winter is what to wear on their feet. I mean snow boots are (for the most part) ugly as hell, I'll give you that. If you stick to wearing them when you absolutely need to, which is what I do, and wear them with a real coat, not a ski jacket (unless you're sledding like a champ), and a slimmer pant, then they do you a little more justice. It can make 'em go from looking like Tonka trucks for your feet to chic cement blocks... maybe? I also try not to wear a bootcut or a straight pant with them because the rubber toe cover is REALLY distasteful; seeing the whole thing is beneficial to you. So roll those bad boys up and let the world see your boobs boots, people!

Snow Time

How did all my Northeasters do during the Nor'easter (pun intended)? We have about two feet in the Hampton's, which is just enough to keep those of us who don't have lifted cars with 4x4 inside for a day or two. Let's just say I'd die of cabin fever if I wasn't able to get out... it's a real bad disease, yo. Instead I've been sledding and driving through snowbanks because my Dad has a jeep. I'm sort of a grade A bad ass, a GRABA® if you will.

I have little time for photography nowadays, and I rarely photograph these mongrels unless they have a sick backdrop. Well Nemo, danke for the scenery. I know it's a bit of a flood of pictures of the same two dogs, but... well I don't have an excuse. I think I'm going to change it up a bit and end my post with this instead of Cheers. Whatchyall think? And yes that's one word.

Stay sexy,

Jack

PS I'm not sexist but a soccer mom driving this has made me laugh every time.

Dress Up Friday

My new sassy as hell best friend

About these photos: Sunglasses: Ray Bans, Jacket: Brooks Brothers navy suit jacket, Shirt/Tie: Brooks Brothers Black Fleece Collection, Denim: Gap, Boots: H&M

As promised, I am back on the blogging grind. Remember when I said I'd do a "dress down Friday" post? Well, I did just the opposite... sort of.

NYFW started this week if you didn't catch the flooding of hair/makeup selfies and runway show snapshots on Instagram and Twitter from other bloggers. I have yet to attend a show, and it kills me every season when I scroll through pictures of shows for seven consecutive days. One day I will go and wear something incredible. Until then, though, if you have tickets, I want them. Just sayin'.

If you're in the Northeast of the US, you're probably familiar with Storm Nemo, that overrated snowstorm that was supposed to lock us indoors for weeks on end? Yup, that's the one. What the weathermen neglected to include in the snow forecast was the rain and the five pound ice balls that hurdled their way to earth from the atmosphere. Forgive and forget, right? If it winds up snowing for realz tonight, prepare yourselves for some cheesy as hell shots in the snow tomorrow, probably with a dog, and possibly naked. Nah, I'm kidding. But I'm serious.

Cheers,

Jack

Little Fresh Plaid

I know it's blurry, but let's pretend it isn't, kay?

 Eff belts.

About these photos: Beanie: J. Crew (stolen from Dad), Specs: Tom Ford, Coat: Polo Outlet (here), Shirt: American Eagle, White Tshirt: Calvin Klein, Denim: Gap, Boots: H&M, Belt: at home, missed by my exposed bum

And I'm back! I'm trying desperately to manage my time well and blog on a somewhat regular basis, but life has proven to be rather demanding lately. Can I just say how gray it actually looks now (or grey for those UK readers)?
